What's the diplomatic way to handle this?

Twice recently I have been woken up by a distinctive rhythmic pounding from the apartment above. I wear ear plugs to sleep, so it's really loud. I strongly suspect the girl who lives upstairs has a new and quite eager boyfriend. Perhaps if she moved her bed a bit away from the wall, it would help. But I don't know her, and don't know how to make this suggestion.
