I need advice on this guy... :/?

Okay so I strted going to public school this year and i met this guy.. he was really sweet and i thought he was my dream guy.. so then somehow me being stupid became his best friend.. he got a girlfriend and she is a reall B-*&^ because for some reason she hated me.. she cheated on him 13 times and dumped him 4 times.. during this time he made a new best friend who is a B**** too... so then we all started hangin out together me *his bestest friend* him and his best friend.... finally he didnt go back to his girl friend..me n him got into a fight then i argued with his best friend so i was out of the picture but then.. we became friends but not as close,.. then on january 8th he asked me out.... i accepted of course! but i was going on vacation for a week.. so i came back and every day we kissed like 5 times... then thursday we made out. Then he texted me that night.. "babe im tired so imma go to sleep n text you in the morning" i said okay baby ill talk to you in the morning... then i woke up around 7 am and at 6:30 in the morning i got a text and it was going on and on about how he was dumping me cause it feels like we are still best friends n junk.... This was yesterday... ive been really depressed since then and i really need advice he said to someone he would date me again when hes ready but should i keep pursuing it??
