My baby is kicking the crap out of my stomach...?

I am 37 weeks pregnant my.son is engaged head Down and I'm 2 cm dilated.. I can't eat anything without feeling sick about a half hour later. Could my son be hitting my stomach? I have felt sick for about a week now and have had diarrhea (sorry tmi) on and off? I am unsure if its my nerves..diet.. has this happened to anyone else?
