Did I come off as needy or clingy?

This guy who i'm "friends with benefits" with texted me today that he missed me so i said i missed him too, then he said he was going to his his aunts who lives up the street from me and asked what i was doing. I wasn't sure if he was wanting me to invite him over or just telling me, so i told him i had been out with friends and i was on my way home. he never texted me back so two hours later i texted him if your at your aunt you should come visit me and he never replied... do you think I sounded needy and annoying or maybe just oblivious?sorry that was so long
